Waterproof Golf Suit

Posted by admin

A Waterproof golf suit is an essential part of your golf equipment these days, there’s nothing worse than getting caught out by the weather and being soaking wet and cold whilst out on the golf course (well obviously there is a lot worse, but it is still pretty damn frustrating!) The suits are either one piece (jacket and pants attached) or two piece (jacket and pants separate), designed to be lightweight, unrestricting to your movements, and can be easily stored away in your golf bag. Both types have advantages:

  • One piece suits can be less likely to let in the rain because there are no gaps in the fabric, and can be slipped on easily
  • Two piece suits are usually more comfortable and less likely to restrict movement

Most golfers prefer jacket and pants as their game is more important than staying completely dry; take your pick! There is no doubt that buying waterproofs today is a good investment, and if you golf in the UK you are certainly going to get your money’s worth as the weather these days is nothing if unpredictable. Even if your live in sunnier climbs, the weather can be fine when you set out and more often than not, stay that way. However, on the odd occasion that it doesn’t, you don’t want to be cursing that you have forgotten your waterproofs; better to have them permanently tucked away in your bag and not ruin what was a perfectly good round. If you are looking to buy a golf suit there is a wide variety of quality and prices out there to choose from. Your priorities are likely to be that they are waterproof, comfortable, and are a good fit so as to not restrict your game in any way. Whether you are used to coping with light showers or heavy downpours, happy golfing … and may the course be with you!
